Street Fighter 5’s servers will be going offline tonight for maintenance. This will be in preparation for the large CFN update that is set to drop tomorrow.
From 9 p.m. PDT tonight until 9 p.m. PDT tomorrow (May 30th), Street Fighter 5’s online modes will be inaccessible. When the maintenance is over, we should be seeing the latest update in full effect.
Here’s the information from SF5’s in-game menu.
As the slides note, those who login to the CFN after the update will be awarded a bonus 50,000 Fight Money. This will be available between May 30th and June 13th (PST), so be sure to jump online during this time to accept the free cash.
The upcoming CFN update is set to implement several improvements to the online interface. This includes better matchmaking, more detailed fighter profile statistics, the friend management system, and more.
Additionally, the game’s latest balance changes will be going live, incorporating new moves and alterations for much of the cast.
The long-awaited third DLC character in Season 2, Ed, will also become available for purchase. Players will be able to pick him up for $5.99 or 100,000 FM, so be sure to use that 50,000 FM bonus toward unlocking the Psycho Powered-boxer if you aren’t a season pass holder.
Lastly, Street Fighter 5 will be seeing two classic Street Fighter 2 stages enter the fold: one brand new and the other returning. Vega’s “Flamenco Tavern” brings the cage back for Claw, and yes, he can climb it.
Not only that, but M. Bison’s classic Thailand stage will become available again with the updated background music. Each stage will run you $3.99 / ￥400 / €3.99 or 70,000 Fight Money.
